A photograph

I love taking photos. I do not have a professional camera, but I like my camera. The photo here is from the moon, I took it with my camera beacause I love taking photos of the moon. I have a collection of photos of the moon in my computer, and sometimes I post them on my facebook. 

I like that the photos I take have the date to remember when I took it, for example, I took this photo the last year in the October month, It is a photo of an almost full moon because I specially like this moon phase. 

Why do I like to take the moon photos?, well, because I admire the moon, every night I try to see it, I think it is very beautifull and magnificent and I feel tranquility while I look at it. I can imagine that two people kiss and I can see the kiss on the moon, but I can imagine anything, sometimes I think my emotions are reflected in the moon, and I can send messages with it.

Taking photos of the moon is an activity very especial for me.

Hello everyone! 

Well, I do not watch series, but I will be writting about my favorite movie. The name of my favorite movie is The Pursuit of Happyness, this is an American film directed by Gabriele Muccino, the protagonists are played by Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith. It premiered in 2006 and is based on the true story of Chris Gardner. I like this movie so much because of the lessons it leaves, the history is about a man who has to live many difficulties, he does  not have money, not wife, not house, however he has a son, but he never gives up, and finaly he finds his happiness, I realy love this movie, but it is not the only one in my list. In general I like many movies about real histories, but if you ask me what my favorite movie is , I will aswer: The Pursuit of Happyness.

MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

My favorite piece of tecnology is my laptop, my cellphone and the internet because I can talk with my family, my friends and my boyfriend, moreover, I need them for my studies or work. In my cellphone I can check my e-mail, arrange meetings or my day. 

When I was a child I didn´t have laptop or internet because my parents didn´t want to buy or to pay for that, in my house there is a library, and there are many books and encyclopedias, but I wanted a computer and internet. 

When I was studing in the university, I received as a birthday present a laptop, since then, the use of computers is very important and necesary for me. I started to use cellphone when I was 15 years old, but it was very simple, only to receive messages or calls without internet or camera. When I had my first job, I bought a smart phone, since then is very important for me to use it. I love to take photos with my cellphone camera because I can take each happy and important moment in my life to remember in the future. 

In this moment I use my laptop, my cellphone and the internet every day. I think that my life would be very boring and sad without them, because I couldn´t have comunication with my beloved ones, listen to music,  watch movies or study.

Hello everybody!

When I was a child, I dreamed with being a doctor who healed people, created remedies and traveled the world, but when I was applying to the University I was not sure wich option to take, I wanted to study Medicine, and Microbiology too because the microorganisms cause many disseases. Nevertheless if I wanted to travel the world, I needed to speak some lenguages, then I wanted to study lenguages. Finaly, I decided to study Microbiology.

Until now I am very happy with my choice, I fell in love my carreer and the research. I have been studying in several universities, I studied in the Córdoba University in Colombia, Salamanca University in Spain, and currently, I am studing in the Chile University. I have know several countries, cities, cultures  and many people through my student and profesional life.

In the present I am learning English, Portugues and German.

I would like to work as researcher and professor in a University in my country, however, I would like to create a foundation for the research about tropical diseases, specialy for indigenous people. 

My autobiografhy

Hello everyone! My name is Helena Quintero, I was born in Colombia in 1990. I have a big and nice family. My parents have been married for 50 years, and I have 7 siblings, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. I studied Microbiology in Montería, Colombia, after that I lived and worked in Santa Marta city Colombia for 4 years. In 2015 I went to Europe to continue with  my profesional formation in the Salamanca University, I did a master in Tropical Diseasses and I lived in Spain for 1 year. I  came back to my country and finished another master in Tropical Microbiology.

Currently, I am living in Santiago of Chile. Since March this year I have been doing a doctorate in the University of Chile, I am in my first year. I am living alone in a flat in the down town near to the University.

In my free time, I like to swim three times a week, do Pilates two times a week, read and meditate. I really love to travel, get to know countries, people, food and new cultures.
